Council Meeting-Thursday, February 2 - Rosary@6:30- Mtg@7 PM
St Ann Center Room 323.

February News and Notes

Your Council was honored at the Mid Year Diocesan Meeting with the Lone Star Award for Excellence with Distinction which
recognizes those Councils who timely meet their Charitable, Financial and Administrative commitments during the Fraternal
Year. Many thanks go out to all who participate in making our programs a success, enabling the Council to qualify for this
prestigious award. A First Degree was held on January 19th and the Council welcomed Larry Palitza to the Order.

The Super Bowl Sausage Sale was once again a success and John Lucido, aka the Sausage King, will be joining us on
Saturday the 5th to make fresh mild and hot Italian sausage for delivery after this weekend’s Masses. So, if you want to learn
how to make sausage or just want to join the fun, go to stannkofc.org and sign up for a shift! This year’s Pancake Breakfasts
kicked off with Parishioners enjoying plain, chocolate chip and blueberry pancakes along with eggs and all the breakfast
extras prepared and served by our excellent team of dedicated brother Knights. Voluntary donations from this monthly
service to our Parishioners provide the funds to support many charitable activities including annually supporting four
seminarians on their path to Priesthood. Sunday also saw the first round of the Annual Knights of Columbus Free Throw
Contest held at the Coppell YMCA. A record 112 kids took part, almost double vs. last year.

Thank you to Eric Stephens for once again organizing and putting on the event and thank you to a great group of Brother
Knights that helped make the day a success, especially those who went from helping at Pancake to the “Y”.

Co- Knights of the Month were Tom Bailey for his effort toward the continuing construction of our display cases and helping
with sausage sales and to Eric Stephens for managing the Free Throw Contest. Family of the Month is the Moulden’s for
their support during sausage sales and New Knight of the Month is Rick Cook for taking on the role of Scout Troop
Coordinator.

If you are awaiting a name tag or shirt, please see John McMahon or Michael Moulden on Thursday.

Rosary begins at 6:30 PM and our Meeting at 7:00. See you then.

The Knights of Columbus-a people of Life and for Life.

VIVAT JESUS!
