Welcome From Nick Panza, Grand Knight
Welcome to the St Ann Knights of Columbus Council 10245 website!  As you explore our site you will
see the many ways we actively support St Ann Parish as we have since our Council’s founding in 1989.

Who We Are
We are the Knights of Columbus.  Believing that a man is defined by his actions as a follower of God,
and as a leader in his community.  Believing that a man is more than simply a man, when he bears the
title of “Knight.”

The Knights of Columbus is the world's largest Catholic family fraternal service organization with 1.7
million members. It provides members and their families with volunteer opportunities in service to the
Catholic Church, their communities, families and young people.

Membership Benefits
As a member of the Knights of Columbus you and your family enjoy many benefits, including 12 free
issues annually of Columbia magazine, the world's largest Catholic family magazine, eligibility to join
the Knights of Columbus top-ranked life insurance program, and many more family and personal
benefits.

We are St Ann Council 10245 of the Knights of Columbus, with over 300 members from St Ann
Catholic Parish supporting other ministries, assisting the needy, fighting for Pro-Life issues, raising
money for scholarships, carnival, picnic or prayer.

How to Join
Membership in the Knights of Columbus is open to practicing Catholic men in union with the Holy See,
who are at least 18 years old. A practicing Catholic is one who lives up to the Commandments of God
and the precepts of the Church. Application blanks are available from any member of the Knights of
Columbus.

For additional information on the Knight of Columbus or how to join, contact Alex Hernandez
Membership Director via email at
Membership@stannkofc.org.

Fourth Degree
Any Third Degree member in good standing, one year after the anniversary of his First Degree, is
eligible for membership in the Fourth Degree. The primary purpose of the Fourth Degree is to foster
the spirit of patriotism by promoting responsible citizenship and a love of and loyalty to the Knights'
respective countries through active membership in local Fourth Degree groups (called "assemblies").
Certain members of the Fourth Degree serve as honor guards at civic and religious functions, an
activity that has brought worldwide recognition to the Knights .
The theme of the annual Knights of Columbus 2012 half day retreat is
“The Beauty of Silence”.

The featured speaker is St. Ann’s very own parochial vicar,
Fr. Orlando.

It’s easy to acknowledge that we live in a very fast paced and noisy world.

The question is: what are the benefits of ‘silence’ and how can we, as
Catholic men, utilize and practice ‘silence’ to grow in our spiritual lives.
Discover how to quiet the noise in our world this lent to hear the beauty of
God’s word.

The retreat starts with 8:00am Mass and a continental breakfast and ends
with lunch.  In addition to Fr Orlando’s inspirational talk, there will be time to
dialog with other men and develop your own personal action plans. The
retreat is open to all men of the parish…. feel free to bring a friend.  There
is no cost – it’s a free will donation only.
